Series 001: she knew what she was doing. (Room 822) part ii

“Let me get the door for you.” I said.

At that point as I’m walking around to open my door. I noticed that everything was in motion and the only thing that stood still was me.

Stillness in motion.

“I just got a text from my cousin, do you think we can link up with him some time today?” I asked.

Queen responded, “Yeah of course”

“I’m about to play some heat on the way to the next spot.” I said.

*Around Me by Brent Faiyaz playing in the background as the sound of the engine hummed.

“Oooo This is my shit”

At this point the caffeine from the Ethiopian coffee started to kick in. You ever get that feeling of optimism after being stimulated.

I really wanted to move mountains. I started to see an upside in just how things were working for me.

*car door slams shut

The sun was out, scorching per usual. As we walked around the farmers market, we saw a place with mimosas.

Mimosas followed by an in-depth conversation about family and its impact on who we are  today. It felt like hours but it was only an hour and a half.

Crazy.

“You ready to move around?” I asked.

“Yeah, let me go pee first.”
